You are not alone.

"I wanted to say thank you SO much for the master class last night. It was so incredibly informative, and left me feeling much empowered than when I leave my daughter's endo appointments. I have a 7 year old daughter who was diagnosed last year, so I'm on the parent side and really resonated with Amanda's perspective, but I always love Meg's advice and often implement her ideas into my daughter's routine. AMANDA BERG

TYPE ONE TOGETHER'S DIRECTOR OF PARENT SUPPORT & T1D MAMA

Have you ever heard of the 80/20 rule? Essentially, when you put in a certain amount of effort, 20% of that effort is what actually contributes to the result. Well, after two years of managing my type 1 toddler, I have figured out what aspects of T1D management are the 20% that contribute to the majority of our good results.

I'm a former NICU RN and mom to a type 1 toddler. I gave up my job as a nurse to dedicate my time to managing type 1 diabetes. My goal is for progress, not perfection. I believe in finding that sweet spot: just enough effort that yields commendable results, without so much effort that I become burnt out. I also firmly believe type 1 children are children first and foremost, and should live their lives as such.

After 2+ years of management, we are consistently between 85-90% in range with our A1C in the 5's. I put in effort, sure, but I am not completely overwhelmed. We live our lives with type 1 diabetes as our passenger. I am passionate in helping other parents achieve their goals, and can help you get here too!

Megan Cremins

My name is Meg and I’ve been living with type 1 diabetes since I was 5 years old. Growing up, I struggled with my confidence around T1D, and it led to many challenges with my diabetes management.

Those struggles led me on a journey in my 20s to get control of my diabetes. Through years of trial and error and learning everything I could, I figured out how to make my diabetes work WITH my life, instead of against it. My life changed.

My own success with T1D inspired me to help others. I am now a Nutritionist and have a Master’s in Nutrition and Food Science. My goal is to help T1Ds live happy, healthy, and active lives.

My philosophy is rooted in the belief that we are all different, and we have to find what works best for our own mental, physical, and diabetes health. I am a big believer in flexibility over rigidness, consistency over perfection, and community over everything! We are stronger together.

When I’m not sharing my life with T1D online, I love running, yoga, traveling, and nailing a pizza bolus.

“The algorithm!!! First night we didn’t have a stubborn high that we took turns staying up to correct! Loved these ladies! So informative! Can’t wait to be able to go back and watch when different issues pop up. It’s so comforting to hear from Amanda as a parent to know we aren’t alone when we feel absolutely crazy and exhausted.“
